Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine

        Christopher Peacock is a licensed acupuncturist & herbalist in New York City.   He graduated with honors from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine.  During this intensive four year program, Christopher studied acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine with some of the foremost Chinese medicine doctors in the world.   Christopher  is a Nationally Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) the highest level of certification available.  Previous to his Chinese medicine studies he worked as a licensed massage therapist at the Center for Integrated Therapies in Cleveland, Ohio.  This multidisciplinary clinic primarily serves the HIV positive community and people with disabilities.  During his final year of graduate study, he completed an externship performing acupuncture services at Housing Works,  an HIV social service organization in Manhattan's West Village neighborhood.

         Before his graduate studies, Christopher worked with the LGBTQ community in many different facets.  His experience as a public health advocate at the LGBT community center informs his vast experience dealing with the health issues that are commonly experienced within the LGBTQ spectrum.  While Christopher’s practice includes a diverse cross section of society, his specific interests include health and wellness within the LGBTQ community, HIV health, transgender health, pain management and emotional health.
